Meet the Director!
Hello! My name is Danny Mitchell and I am proud to be the director of the Timber Ridge Music Program! I am originally from Salem, OR and have been thankful enough to live in Oregon my entire life. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Oregon State University (GO BEAVS!!) as well as my Bachelor of Arts.
My philosophy on teaching is that every student is able to learn and succeed. For some, it might take a little longer than others, but every single student can and should be successful!
My personal mindset is,

"With hard-work and dedication, ANYTHING is possible!"
Without hard-work, I would have never been so successful. Starting on an instrument, I had very little "natural talent", so I had to rely on my hard-work to get me to where I needed to go, which is what I want to instill in my students.

Some of my favorite hobbies to do, when not teaching, are hiking or exploring the natural wonders of Oregon, watching occasional Netflix shows, reading a book, or practicing and playing my trumpet by myself or, even better, with others!
I am so thankful for the opportunity to be the director at Timber Ridge and I cannot wait what this year will hold!
